Anyone use this tech? I'm loving it. "Burns" or "scribes" a CD label from a certain type of DVD/CD drive directly onto the disc. Talk about saving a fortune in making your own CD's!
Don't know how long it's been around, but it's new to my world. Pretty neat.

I have seen this the last couple of times I have bought a DVD burner...
You need special disks?
Ink cartridges for the burner?
Is it just black ink?

If it looks professional, or at least "good" then it seems like a really useful thing for CD's that you want to sell...
Otherwise, it seems to be complicating things quite a bit...
I just use a sharpie! He he...

it doesn't require any ink at all. you buy Lightscribe compatible CDs and the DVD/CD drive uses "laser" tech to "burn" the image onto the disc.
right now the images are limited to greyscale. but, you can buy discs that are colored, and it has a background and foreground feature that makes for some pretty nice looking discs.
guess i was suprised at how good it actually did look. has some pretty goofy looking templates that come with the software. however, if you are into making your own artwork and stuff you can manipulate the settings to make unique images.
is that helpful? there's always Google for more info. :D
