This is definately true of piglets. When Emmett was a small pig, his screams were AMAZINGLY loud and hit a certain frequency / harmonic that was dizzying... A really amazing natural defense system for a pretty defenseless animal...
Now when he got to be full size it was not so bad...his voice changed!
When he wants to he can still scream incredibly loud, just without that sort of high frequency harmonic that he had when he was little.
