Maybe you've seen 'em, and maybe those who are reading along haven't - but here's a bit of space to list the cinematic treats that you find the most goodish and stuff:

"Let's Go To Prison"

Hands down a laff fest and just all around enjoyable. Yup.

One of my all-time favorite movies is The Big Lebowski. Any fans?

Also, pumped to go see Pineapple Express tomorrow night with a bunch of friends. Looks hilarious.

Huge Lebowski fan. I love almost all Cohen bros movies...

...but I have to say that the Nihilist story line/sub-plot is really weak and slows down the whole thing when it should be coming to boiling point. Fleas crappy German accent isn't worth of a panto. It almost gets slapstick.
They could definitely have tightened up the storyline edit right there.

Still a great flick though. And Capn BFart in the soundtrack. Sweeet.

That (newish) movie 'Persepolis' is very good.
Well worth a rental at least.

I loved the new Batman. I was apprehensive at first because I'm not really big into superhero movies, but I really liked it. Heath Ledger as the Joker was the definite highlight of the movie for me. Creepy role.
Also, Pineapple Express was hilarious. Go see it!

Yeah, but that guy in the creepy rabbit costume scared the shit out of me (OK, so I'm really a girl...really). Digby is the name of my pet rabbit that died. Not like the creepy rabbit in the film, mind you....but a rabbit nonetheless.

It is a great movie. And, I never mind looking at Jake Gyllenhaal.

Went to see "Star Wars: Clone Wars" last night. The latest Star Wars chronicle, animated style.

I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Not sure what I expected, but am glad that I went. Might even have to see it again.

Yeah, whoever designed that costume really nailed it. That is one of the creepiest things since the "bob" character on Twin Peaks...
That guy totally creeped me out!

BTW... I read someplace that the guy who played Bob was actually a lighting designer for Lynch, and that he accidentally was in one of the bedroom shots... When they were watching the playback everyone was saying... "Oops, gotta reshoot that one" Lynch said no way, annd wrote him into the plot... How smart and reactive is Lynch 'eh?

Genius.

In college (I guess I already said I'm a girl---not that it matters), I dated a guy who was in the Twin Peaks movie (Fire Walk With Me---I think---it really sucked). I grew up and went to college out in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle), and they used to film that show (and movie) out there. Anyway, this guy met the whole Twin Peaks cast. I remember him being impressed/creeped out by the log lady for some reason! I mean, in real life, she creeped him out. Maybe she hit on him or something. He was too disturbed to reveal what happened. haha. He was a douche.

anyone seen "the mist"? i saw it in the theater and thought that it couldn't get much better until i saw it in black and white...talk about creepy...lord of the flies to the max and that ending is so fucking brutal....i only would have liked that some one would have the foresight to not put in that same wailing middle eastern type of singing that tends to pop up in movies when some one is on the top of a mountain with their arms raised (into the wild) or something really intense is going on in some recent war movie (pick one...anyone)...it's becoming expected that every movie reaches this point.

"bug" was pretty cool too....

any one seen "funny games" (the american version)? i still want to see it

i can't bring myself to see "dark knight" until the hype settles but i will say that christian bail's last few performances are going to be hard to beat (esp "rescue dawn" and that one where he is the guy that come back from the war and is trying to be a cop in southern california and is spiraling out of control while trying to meet up with his lady in in mexico...or fucking "machinist" for that matter...how can he win as bat man?)

my favorite movie of all time is "Wings of Desire" (Der Himmel über Berlin). One of the most beautiful, moving films of all time.

Even Ebert's writeup is a thing of beauty.

Other faves of mine:

Stranger Than Fiction
Pan's Labyrinth
Babe: Pig in the City (a great, German Expressionist masterpiece -- really !)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Repulsion
Blue/White/Red
Autumn Sonata
M
Bringing Up Baby
Notorious
Belle De Jour
Dancer in the Dark
Gates of Heaven
A Hard Days Night
The Decalogue 1-10

Annie Hall. After Billy Jack, of course, it's the best movie ever.

Billy Jack is the greatest film of all time.
