hey is there anyone out there that knows a solid listing of tracks on "bubble and scrape"? i know that lp will obviously be there but seeing what jake wrote about it possibly coming out the time of the tour (next month?) i was wondering about details. i emailed domino but they gave me nothing but a "thanks' for your interest." is it me or is this coming out soon?

Its coming out May 5th...
The day before we play the album in sequence at a special show in London.

Its the whole original CD remastered at Abbey Road Studios, and theres a buncha extra crap on there...
I just got the master reference copy here a couple of days ago, but theres no real tracklisting on there...
As soon as I know specific names / sequence info, I'll put it up here.

Sorry about Domino's lackluster customer service...
We were the first band on the label when it started, but the people who work there now werent even born yet, and are into electroclash music.

flashback time!
1st time I saw Sebadoh was in Yebore City during the Bub & Scape tour
some big outdoor thing
after the set had a chance to chat w/Eric Gaffney briefly
I told him how much I liked the song "As The World Dies..."
He told me how he came up w/the title and the story went hand and hand with the lyrics.
he smiled,I said "O.K."
my girlfriend cried
(she had a crush on him!)

yeah, ybor is definitely a weird place. i dont know when the last time you were there but the citys tried to turn it into a more attractive place. theres an urban outfitters and hip places to eat.
walk two blocks either way and youre definitely in a shady part of town. i do still like it though. weird place.

last time I was there was during the Seb.Bubble and Scrape tour
I remember leaving the outdoor place, taking a wrong turn, and within 2 minutes I was in a pretty bad area.
That's the night I had the chat with Eric Gaffney about his song "as The World Dies..",we all got stoned, very weird and fun.
Was a pretty place though.

"Crest" (Stereolab) is from a 1994 BBC session (post-Eric, with Bob on drums) - but maybe we'll get a BBC sessions CD someday ?! :)

cheers... stereolab... damn should have known that.. i have most of their early stuff.... but anyway...it´s a great cover by sebadoh...watching the stereolab version on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlonpJ6c814

Yeah, thats a great Stereolab tune!
Its going to take some serious $$$ that may not ever surface to get those BBC sessions back in our hands...
They are really expensive to buy back from the BBC!

Gotta be bootleg MP3's baby!!!
At least for the forseeable future!

hey jake,

are those eric extras the same as on wading through the boggs? i know the stuff that came on the ep's from that period but what about "visibly wasted" and "messing around"? i would ask eric about these things but i am still waiting for some cd's that i send checks for years ago and figure that i he won't even bother with answering questions...christ, he won't even respond to whether he is interested in the beta (yes you heard me...BETA) video footage i have y'all playing in ft. worth after a lollapalooza show in dallas...the man is a mystery...but the songs? do you know?
