A live record ? A 're-imagining' like Wire's "It's Beginning To and Back Again", where they took the foundations of tracks from a live show and polished them up in the studio ?

A lot of RTFF sounds like that, but then there are some songs where it's obviously a live recording.

So, Jake, what's the deal ?

Its a "live album".
There was an incarnation of the band last year:

Matt: Kbds
Eleanor: Vox
Bob: Kit
Michael Goodman: Percussives
Jake: Guitar

The live show was two 50 minute (non-stop) pieces
I recorded these at Eleanors house and then we collected two multitrack "board tapes" and I had about a dozen "bootleg style" (couple of mics in the air) recordings...

Matt made a sort of a mashup out of all of it...

Thats really all there is to it.
